Rilla Goodwin…

…has been writing since the 3rd grade, or at least that’s the earliest documented proof that exists. Is it adorable? Or is it a curse? To forever chase the high of receiving Mrs. Peabody’s unmitigated praise after reading yet another fully illustrated “chapter book” about star travelers and unheard-of members of the Greek pantheon… As supportive as the Crooked Trees are, no accolade may ever taste as sweet as Kathy’s.

That said, Rilla’s never given up. From plays about time-traveling horses to short fiction about heartbreak and drowning, Rilla writes on to this day, leaving the illustrations to the pros.

Farland Novels

Rilla is a member of *gasp* TWO writers groups. 1n the one that is NOT Crooked Trees, she’s working with a group of talented gals to create a collection of stand-alone novels that exist within a shared world. It’s extremely cool and fun.
